[Samba] I/O error samba mount point (only with smbfs)
Hi, I am getting an I/O error while running fsstress on client samba mount point (only with smbfs) Can anyone, please look into this problem? Problem Description: x370 was configured for samba server & x206f as samba client. fsstress was running from two samba mount points from client i.e /SAMBA1 (type cifs) & /SAMBA2 (type smbfs). There was no load generating on /SAMBA2 & hence was not populating /SAMBA2 server mount point. But the load is properly getting generated on /SAMBA1 both client & server mount points. Steps to reproduce:- Samba server configuration: (giving just brief idea) create two partitions using fdsik of size 4 GB & make filesystem ext2 & ext3 respectively. Mount these 2 partitions with directories /SAMBA1 & /SAMBA2 created in / and then give 777 permissions to /SAMBA1 & /SAMBA2. Then start smb & nmb daemons Samba client configuration: create directories /SAMBA1 & /SAMBA2 in / & give them 777 permissions. Then mount -t cifs -o username=root //<samba-server ip-address>/SAMBA1 /SAMBA1 mount -t smbfs -o username=root //<samba-server ip-address>/SAMBA2 /SAMBA2 Run fsstress which is present in LTP test suite (i.e /ltp-full../testcase/kernel/fs/fsstress) nohup ./fsstress -d /SAMBA1 -l 0 -n 1000 -p 2 -r & nohup ./fsstress -d /SAMBA2 -l 0 -n 1000 -p 2 -r & Additional information:- The nohup.out from client shows: seed = 1130028113 seed = 1129370642 p0: Input/output error p1: Input/output error rm: cannot remove `/SAMBA2/*': Input/output error p0: Input/output error p1: Input/output error rm: cannot remove `/SAMBA2/*': Input/output error .................................... ....................................
