[Samba] cannot copy files (samba 3.0.3, kernel 2.6)
Hi everybody. First of all: i am using samba 3.0.3 and a 2.6 kernel. I am experiencing a strange problem. I can see, mount and use Windows shares. I can see and mount also Apple shares (through appleshareip and some sort of smb/cifs server on the apple side), but i can't browse them nor copy any files. With kernel 2.4 i couldn't browse, but i could normally copy files and rsyinc shares. This is what i get logged: Jun 7 10:19:33 brunettie kernel: SMB connection re-established (-5) Jun 7 10:19:33 brunettie kernel: SMB connection re-established (-5) Jun 7 10:19:49 brunettie kernel: smb_proc_readdir_long: error=-2, breaking Jun 7 10:19:57 brunettie kernel: smb_errno: class ERRSRV, code 64 from command 0x32 Jun 7 10:20:08 brunettie kernel: smb_proc_readdir_long: error=-2, breaking Jun 7 10:20:37 brunettie kernel: smb_errno: class ERRSRV, code 64 from command 0x2f Jun 7 10:20:37 brunettie kernel: smb_writepage_sync: failed write, wsize=4096, write_ret=-5 Jun 7 10:29:21 brunettie kernel: smb_add_request: request [0468ce80, mid=35] timed out! and after this first error, even if i restart smb this is what i get: Jun 11 15:33:28 brunettie kernel: smb_add_request: request [06624e80, mid=32] timed out! Jun 11 15:33:28 brunettie kernel: smb_lookup: find //emi failed, error=-5 However, i can still browse shares. This didn't happen with kernel 2.4. Anybody can help? I really couldn't figure out what's going on. Thank a lot E.
