I have Samba working nicely on my network, except that there are a few folders, including \Windows, on the XP machine that I can't browse from Linux. I can see and enter the folders, but the contents are null. What is preventing me from getting to these folders? -- Jeffrey Barish

Under XP I suspect the user you're connecting as may not have access to \Windows - have you tried adding the user "Everyone" and giving them read/browse access? Cheers, Adam.
Are they set up for full sharing? Can you see them from another computer other than the Linux box? I'd suspect the problem is in share permissions on the XP box.
