What schemas have you loaded through the slapd.conf file?
Are you following the Samba documentation? Suggest you compare what you have
done with chapter 5 of the book "Samba-3 by Example". This book is
available
from Amazon.Com (get the second edition) or in PDF format from:
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba3-ByExample.pdf
Chapter 5 provides detailed diagnostic information as well as step-by-step
instructions to help to get Samba+LDAP working.
Cheers,
