samba - Aug 2005 - recv failure for 4: error = connection reset by peer

Hello list,
I am looking for some help with an error message that keeps showing up in our
log files.
I searched the archive and found this error message mentioned a few times in
regards to windows xp clients and setting the smb ports = 445.  We are running
only windows 2000 clients and have recently begun seeing this error message in
our logs
lib/util_sock.c:read_socket_data(384)  read_socket_data: recv failure for 4.
Error = Connection reset by peer
I'm not sure if this fix is for all windows versions or only xp?

We are running a red hat linux enterprise 3 server with samba version 3.0.9 as
our PDC with 7 windows 2000 stations.
Any ideas on what might be causing this error in the logs, so far we are not
having any problems with logons as of now.

You can simply ignore the error. It's telling you that the client has
refused
to talk on one port because it succeeded on the other.
