Hi, good day to you 2.
Im running Debian Sarge also, en use the same printer setup as you do.
I have Windows XP SP2 (dutch) with about 20 printers , 18 HP Laserjet en 1
epson Laserjet, 1 matrix printer.
I also have uploaded the windows drivers "AS Administrator" ( i use
ldap
backend, and Administrator has al of the SE Rights. )
So this way drivers are uploaded with Administrator:Domain Admins rights en
set to 775.
I install the printer by point en print, through a kix login script. This
works perfectly.
I understand that the printer drivers are uploaded to the workstation, but
only printing
is a problem.
check this first.
1 where is the spooler path, and had cups / printer user rights to write to
it.
( i this this is the problem )
2 are you able to print if your user root ( or administrator )
3) how is cups setup, you MUST set the cups spooler to RAW Printing.
For everybody i'll make a nice howto for this setup im running.
i'll post is very soon.
Louis
