I'm running Samba 3.0.5 on FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE-p8 and I'm having some
oddities with an smb share. Observe:
/:mount_smbfs //user_name@NODE15/ftp /mnt
Password:
/:cd mnt/incoming/
/mnt/incoming:ls -l
/mnt/incoming:touch test
***** Notice output of next command *****
/mnt/incoming:ls -l
/mnt/incoming:ls -l test
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 0 Aug 4 17:13 test
/mnt/incoming:cd /
/:umount /mnt
/:mount_smbfs //user_name@NODE15/ftp /mnt
Password:
/:cd mnt/incoming/
/mnt/incoming:ls -l
total 0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 0 Aug 4 17:13 test
/mnt/incoming:cd ..
/mnt:ls -l
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 16384 Aug 4 17:13 incoming
/mnt:cd /
/:umount /mnt
/:ls -l /usr/local/ftp
total 2
drwxrwxrwx 2 user_name user_name 512 Aug 4 17:13 incoming

I believe I've encoutnered this before. However, I can't find what I did
to fix it previously or where I found the answer any information would be
greatly appreciated.
