Nope, not 100%..
try the /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, /etc/group and /etc/gshadow.. (the
posix accounts)
a user has a primary group there.. and extra groups.
you have to set it there...
also check you passwd backend..
there might be a primary group key there aswell.. !!
(mysql had!)
