[Samba] Migrating winbindd_idmap.tdb to ldap idmap backend
We're using s. 2.2.8a in conjunction with a win2k dc. For uid/gid-mapping we use winbindd. Now we plan the migration to samba 3. We have about 100 Users and i don't want to rebuild the idmaps by hand. Is it possible to move the winbindd_idmap.tdb to the ldap idmap backend? -- +++ GMX - die erste Adresse f?r Mail, Message, More +++ Neu: Preissenkung f?r MMS und FreeMMS! http://www.gmx.net

You shosuld be able to export from the tdb and the import it into LDAP. cheers, jerry ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hewlett-Packard ------------------------- http://www.hp.com SAMBA Team ---------------------- http://www.samba.org GnuPG Key ---- http://www.plainjoe.org/gpg_public.asc "If we're adding to the noise, turn off this song" --Switchfoot (2003) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://quantumlab.net/pine_privacy_guard/ iD8DBQE//FeQIR7qMdg1EfYRAoQ7AKDmiLPthDPx6arBguSI1YQJ3P452gCgkjRc 4Xacc26bSYZ5jFqZnse/kcc=evHr -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
