# smbpasswd New SMB password: ^D Retype new SMB password: ^D Segmentation fault Note that I tried ^D because ^C didn't work. Am I right that it _should_ terminate the program, and ^D should _not_ result in a segfault..? Oh, and regarding smbpasswd, it's now missing its version stamp in the help message: -----------2.2.8: When run by root: smbpasswd [options] [username] [password] otherwise: smbpasswd [options] [password] Version: 2.2.8 options: -L local mode (must be first option) -h print this usage message -----------3.0.0: When run by root: smbpasswd [options] [username] [password] otherwise: smbpasswd [options] [password] options: -L local mode (must be first option) -h print this usage message -- |\ /| \~~~/ \~~~/ WWW: http://none :( | \/ | /\ > < \~/ > < E-M: maxxx[at]rpg.pl |____| /__\ /___\ /_\ /___\ ICQ: 3146019 My sister has a computer store in Hawaii. I think... When using Samba 3, and a Win2K client, I mapped a network drive onto the client from the server, (again, RH9) and proceeded to copy a profile into the network drive. It created the initial folder and then said it could not copy the profile, due to invalid folder name. The folder name I used is: 'profile'... the path was F:\profile\, is wondering if the error came up because of the '\'s needing to be '/' for the RH9 machine? Cheers S
