samba - May 2003 - Winbind support on AIX ?

I was reading the latest "how to" samba project doc. (5/2/03) and
noticed
that "winbind" is only supported on linux, solaris and irix. is this
true?
What about AIX?

I wrote a winbind client for AIX.  It's in CVS currently and I think it will
be in alpha 24 when it comes out.  It desperately needs wider testing.  It
works correctly for basic operations, but it doesn't operate with smbd
correctly for me yet.
