Need info. :)
Are you authenticating using PAM_Winbind against a NT Domain Controller?
Well we have windows 2000 adv server as the domain controller..i'm not quiet
sure as what does PAM_winbind means
Are you authenticating against a Samba domain Controller?
Nope we are using win2k adv server to authenticate it
Which version of Samba do you run, on what version of Unix, and what file
system are you running it on? We are running 2.2.7-3.21as on a red hat adv
server 2.1
What are the attributes of the slowness? Do they take time to connect, or
do they take a long time when browsing, or transferring files? Well when
user on windows log on it take some time to finish mapping... And when we do
the actual share it's very slow This also effects the time when browsing and
transferring files..
Hope this information helps, thank you all very much for your kind help
