samba - Jan 2003 - Error with SMBCLIENT (Called name not present)

Hi All,
I am using Samba 2.2.7a, and i have found that i have a problem when i
use 'smbclient' to list data about a windows 2000 machine on our network
-
this is the following output:

    # smbclient -L //172.18.12.100 -U "domain\administrator"
    added interface ip=172.18.7.2 bcast=172.18.255.255 nmask=255.255.0.0
    session request to 172.18.12.100 failed (Called name not present)
    session request to 172 failed (Called name not present)
    Password:
    Domain=[DOMAIN] OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having the same problem when using the machine's IP, but using the 
PCs network name, it works.  Actually, it'll work on Win2k also when not 
using the -L and the IP address..  You'll get the same errors, but it'll
connect.  Win9x won't connect at all.
