Funny you should mention that. I stumbled across a link to this page:

at /. recently. If you follow the links, you will be able to build a WebDAV
server on your apache box. My initial experience with WebDAV was when I
tried my quick trial .mac account with an OS X box. I was astonished at the
transfer rates - sustained at around 500+ kbps across at least two NOCs.
I'm
currently trying the mock .mac hack that the website is about, but we've
been
considering using WebDAV for a while here - this may be the first step. So
far, my impression is that it's pretty darn nice.
