samba - Nov 2002 - group privileges on newly created files?

Just curious,

I know you can force a creation mask using "create mode", but is there
any way to enforce under what group ownership a file/directory is created?  My
users belong to several groups, and I want new files created as owned by a
specific group...

Use the sticky bit:

chown .omnigroup shareddir

chmod g+s shareddir

this will make everything created in the shareddir have the group
'omnigroup'.
