samba - Oct 2002 - Semaphore timeout

Hi

 

I'm getting a "semaphore timeout period has expired" error trying
to
connect a WinXP desktop to out linuxbox. (Redhat 7.1 / samba-2.0.7-36)
I can't seem to find help about this in the documentation.  Has anyone
had any experience with this?

I would upgrade to a current release of Samba.  Some older versions were
liable to get 'stuck', causing this kind of message.
