samba - Sep 2002 - [Please help] Domain migration

Hello

Here is my problem.
I have a PDC samba on a server and i need to move it onto
another server. I have tried copy all files /etc/samba/private 
to my new server but it doesn't seems to work :-(
What's wrong ?
Is there a special procedure or a limitation to achieve this ?

Did you change the name ?  This will cause a new domain SID to be 
generated (either domain name or netbios name of the server).  Best to 
bring up the new server as a Samba BDC and set the domain sid using 
smbpasswd -S.
