Help please I am running Samba 2.2.3a on Mandrake 8.2. My configuration file is below. I am trying to use XP as a client. It seems to find the domain, but it keeps giving me the dreaded "Multiple connections ... " message. I have tried running the "c:\net use * /d" command without success. Hi Robin, You may want to take a look at this site: http://www.mandrakeuser.org/connect/csamba6.html (there may be a more up-to-date versio at http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/muo/connect/csamba6.html) I think you may have two problems: 1)Windows does not allow you to have two connections to the same machine with different user accounts, so you need to make sure you have no connectios before you join. The best option is usually to log in, and join the machine as your first (or in the case on winxp, 2nd) action. 2)You may be up against the "signorseal" issue. Apply the reg patch distributed with samba. Is should be in samba-doc as docs/Registry/WinXP_SignOrSeal.reg I normally just point IE at my own site (http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/muo/connect/samba_xp_domain_member.reg) and open the reg file from that location, since you can't really store this on a network share ;-). Finally, you may want updated RPMs for 8.2, you can find 2.2.5 on ftp.samba.org, or others on my site (http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/mandrake8.2), of course these are not supported by Mandrakesoft (but they work great for me).
