I hope to get these up on the samba ftp servers soon, but if you desperatly need packages, grab them from the locations below: http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/8.1/samba-3.0.0beta3/ http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/8.2/samba-3.0.0beta3/ http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/9.0/samba-3.0.0beta3/ http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/9.1/samba-3.0.0beta3/ (I seem to have built the 8.1 packages without winbind or nss_wins support by mistake)....

In the case where there aren't up-to-date RPMs on the samba ftp mirrors, you can get them from: http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/samba or http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~staburet/samba So, at present there are RPMs of 2.2.7 on the samba FTP mirrors, and 2.2.7a-1mdk is here: http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/samba/RPMS/9.0/samba-2.2.7a/ Easy setup should be something like this: # urpmi.addmedia samba-2.2.7a...

>From what I have read on some mailing lists, there is a jack module for ices2 that works quite well. Why isn't this information on the ices2 web page or documentation? Ices is useless to me without this, yet so awesome with it. I saw requests from people for you to do this over a month ago. What's the problem? Thanks, Daniel P.S. I couldn't search this list to find out if

samba-2.2.7a RPMs available for Mandrake 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 9.0
Just a quick note that I have finalised RPMs of 2.2.7a for Mandrake 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 9.0. They are currently available from http://ranger.dnsalias.com/mandrake/samba . Updates are in the works for 9.0, and RPMs for all releases should go to the samba mirrors soon, but if you're having problems with large file support, or are still running 2.2.6 for large file support, I thought you might want to grab these now ... (but please only take t...

Is Samba 3 stable for Mandrake 9.2?
Not to be the annoying child, but I have found myself uniquely annoyed that I can't update RPMs that include Samba 3, and I'm not certain if that's because it's even ready for Mandrake 9.2. Does anyone have a bead on this? Should I just go back to 2.2.8 and wait for the stable, or can someone point out a URL that has a stable 3.0 on it? Thanks Eric
