Subject: [Samba] WinXP Login/Share Problem
First off forgive me if this issue has been addressed already, however I
have searched the list archive for a week before giving up. I have two
problems, First Problem is that Once I join the domain, and reboot the
client you have the choice of logging into the domain or the local
machine if I login to the domain it tells me it can't locate the Domain
Server. If I login to the local machine I can login fine, and I can also
see all the samba shares I have provided for this client. Second Problem
After I have joined both machines to the domain and login to there local
machines(since I can't login to the domain) If I try to see the shares
between the 2 WinXP machines, I get a trust error between this machine
and the domain controller. Now of course this problem could be a result
of problem one I am not sure.. I am running Red Hat 7.3 with samba 2.23
I have applied the WinXP reg fix included in samba docs as well.
I hope this is enough info if I have not provided something I am sorry
please tell me what more is needed to solve this. Any help anyone can
give me would be great. Thanks in advance.
