Hi, (Ldap and Samba 2.2.4-pre) The authentication, the shares and homes works fine, but when client1 try to reach client2 witch is temporarily not available but they are both members of the same domain, than client1 is crashing. The explorer.exe don't response and hang, it's not possible to shut down the explorer in the task manager, only to open a second explorer in the task manager persuadable the system to come back (with two explorer.exe - ieexplorer.exe don't work any more too). Some client's produce this error message some not, but they also die. (The session setup of the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain controller \\PDC for the Domain <Domain name> give no response. The present RPC-call of the Network authentication \\<client-name> to \\PDC is stopped (or is broken). ) What tells us the server logs? This is a successful connection from Client1 to client2 in /var/log/debug: Aug 13 11:18:21 <server-name> slapd[31966]: conn=211505 op=2 SRCH base="dc=<domain-name>" scope=2 filter="(&(uid=<user-name>)(objectClass=sambaAccount))" Aug 13 11:18:21 <server-name> slapd[9088]: conn=10558 op=18818 SRCH base="dc=<domain-name>" scope=2 filter="(&(objectClass=posixAccount)(uid=<user-name>))" This is a suicide connection from client1 to client2 in /var/log/debug: Aug 13 11:32:20 <server-name> slapd[11846]: conn=211602 op=2 SRCH base="dc=<domain-name>" scope=2 filter="(&(uid=<user-name>)(objectClass=sambaAccount))" Aug 13 11:32:20 <server-name> slapd[27991]: conn=10558 op=18841 SRCH base="dc=<domain-name>" scope=2 filter="(&(objectClass=posixAccount)(uid=<user-name>)" Till here it seams to be identical, but then the ldap sarch falls into this loop: Aug 13 11:32:21 <server-name> slapd[20764]: conn=211603 op=2 SRCH base="dc=<domain-name>" scope=2 filter="(&(uid=<user-name>)(objectClass=sambaAccount))" .......
