I'm looking for a version of smbmount for FreeBSD or something similar. I was told that with FreeBSD i was to use mount. But i have no idea what file type and what the options are. This isn't in any documentation i could find on samba.org. If someone could help me? Share Path : \\192.168.24.253\LogFiles$ Mount Path : /var/ServerLogs UserName: LogKing Password: goLgniK

Maybe my article will help: Mounting Samba shares on your BSD system Accessing remote SMB/CIFS services with Sharity-Light (previously known as rumba). http://www.bsdtoday.com/2000/June/Features181.html Jeremy C. If someone could help me?There is a BSD version of smbfs, but it doesn't use anything from samba so I think you are looking in the wrong place. (google for "smbfs BSD" ?) smbmount is just a tool to mount Linux smbfs. /Urban

I can't remember exactly when in 4.x branch this came in, but at least I know on FreeBSD >= 4.5 there is mount_smbfs(8) -james On Monday 08 July 2002 23:20, Stephane R.D.Zanoni wrote:> I'm looking for a version of smbmount for FreeBSD or something similar.
