Hello again! I played with the logging options. Here is what the log for the workstation says: [log] [2002/06/03 16:08:15, 0] rpc_server/srv_samr.c:api_samr_set_userinfo(670) api_samr_set_userinfo: Unable to unmarshall SAMR_Q_SET_USERINFO. [2002/06/03 16:08:15, 0] passdb/pdb_smbpasswd.c:pdb_getsampwrid(1416) unable to open passdb database. [2002/06/03 16:08:16, 0] rpc_server/srv_netlog_nt.c:get_md4pw(188) get_md4pw: Workstation ma06$: no account in domain [/log] I am using SuSE 8.0. The samba files are from this distribution as well. Best regards Klaus Zahradnik ------ Begin of forwarded message ------- Hy there! I set up samba as an PDC server for our network. All the clients are running windows 2000. I created the Linux users and the machine accounts. then set the whole thing up into sambas passwd file. I can access the shares over the "normal" workgroup part. But as soon as I want to access the domain, I get the error that the username and/or password is wrong.... Can somebody please help me out here? best regards Klaus Zahradnik -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba ------- End of forwarded message -------
