oplock_break: client failure in break - shutting down this smbd.
2.0.4b, RH60 (2.2.6+raid1, non root-raid), accessed from win98/ie5. Intermittently ie5 takes very long to load an html page from samba; at the same time it loads another html page ok from another linux/samba1.9.x At 10:47:34 I click on the html page and it is loaded at 10:48:18. I'm sorry but I cannot give more details because it happened 30min ago and now is all ok, I cannot test with other apps reading from the same server till it happens again :-) What may be the reason for this? Thanks.

[Samba] oplock_break: client failure in break - shutting down this smbd.
Dear list! I'm very confused and it would be very nic, if someone can help me. I've installed a Sambaserver (2.2.3a) based on SuSE Linux 8.0. Nealy 40 clients with Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro are working with this Samba. Now my problem: Sometimes the client are crashing down and i see in /var/log/warn something like: oplock_break: client failure in break - shutting down this smbd. before they crash. I've searched Google and so on, but i haven't find an acceptable solution for this. But i've seen, thatr a lot people have this problem too. So, does anyone have an answer or a tip ?! Thanks in advance. Michael
