[Rails] [OT] How to get a deal for INTL speakers?
This is pretty far off topic, but seeing as though it directly affects the upcoming Canada on Rails (http://canadaonrails.com) conference in April, I figure it kind of applies to Rails :) I need to find the best place to get discount tickets for the international speakers coming from Europe, and figure you guys would know where the best places are to get deals. I have checked klm.com, and ba.com. Both seem to be better priced than travelocity/expedia, yet produce quite different quotes compared against each other (klm vs. ba), and I am sure someone on here knows where or even how to get the best deals for a 3 speakers coming from various locations (Vienna, Austria [April 12-15th] / Frankfurt, Germany [April 12-18th] / London, UK [April 11-19] ) here to Vancouver for the dates shown. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -Nb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nathaniel S. H. Read all of the fine print, you are bidding before taxes have been added and there can be a lot of taxes ($200+). Sometimes the US is on sale and Canada isn''t so it can be a lot cheaper to fly into Seattle and drive up. I have seen deltas of $300 a ticket between Vancover and Seattle, with three or four people that really adds up. -- Jon Smirl jonsmirl@gmail.com
