total per user
...nt that a user has posted. So for example: User 1: Jan $3000 Feb $4000 March $1500, etc. I can get this to work if I sum totals (aggregate of all users) but just not by user. Here is my code in the controller: def index @users = User.find :all, :order => ''name ASC'' @deal_groups = Deal.find(:all).group_by {|t| t.saledate.at_beginning_of_month} end And then the code in the View <% for user in @users %> <ul id="monthly-revs"> <strong><li><%=h Time.now.year %></li></strong> <% user.deal_groups.keys.so...

For instance...let''s say I have the following models ----- Category < ActiveRecord::Base Item < ActiveRecord::Base Product < Item Deal < Item ----- Each product or deal can have categories. Would I then setup Item with has_and_belongs_to_many :categories, then create a table categories_items ??? Is there a better way to do it? Pagination Question
Hi - I''ve just started working with Rails, having come from a Cold Fusion background. I''m curious how best to deal with a huge result set. For example, I''m building an app that contains users. I''ve used scaffolding to setup my initial pages for CRUD operations on users. All that is great. The problem is, I''m going to end up with 1000+ users in this app once it''s done. Ha...

how LLVM deals with 'undef'
...ling, I find there is 'undef' in the IR. For example, "*%.lcssa21.unr = phi double [ undef, %.lr.ph9 ], [ %13, %7 ]*". I have two questions: (1) Why this 'undef' is generated? Because before 'loop unrolling', there is no such 'undef'. (2) How LLVM backend deals with this 'undef'? Any suggestion is appreciable. [OT] How to get a deal for INTL speakers?
...ects the upcoming Canada on Rails (http://canadaonrails.com) conference in April, I figure it kind of applies to Rails :) I need to find the best place to get discount tickets for the international speakers coming from Europe, and figure you guys would know where the best places are to get deals. I have checked klm.com, and ba.com. Both seem to be better priced than travelocity/expedia, yet produce quite different quotes compared against each other (klm vs. ba), and I am sure someone on here knows where or even how to get the best deals for a 3 speakers coming from various locations...
