Dear R People: I'm using gdata and read.xls for a couple of projects. When I load gdata, it says to run installXLSXsupport() When I do that, I get a "not responding" error. I tried it with verbose=TRUE, but nothing appears. Has anyone else run into this, please? This is on Windows 7, 64 bit, compiled from source.
