R help - Jul 2011 - [SDMtools] how to calculate total edge of patch excluding landscape boundary

Hi, R users,

I have a question about using ClassStat in SDMtools. I want to calculate
total edge of patch; however, according to FRAGSTAT, the "total.edge"
value
of ClassStat means that "total length (m) of edge in landscape involving
patch type (class) i; includes landscape boundary and background segments
involving patch type i". I want to exclude the boundary edge for calcuating
edge of the patch. Do you know how to do this in R?
