[R] Speeding up "Multinomial Logit"/"Proportional odds model" in R vs stata?
Hi all, An R blogger just published a comparison between R and stata for performing: - Multinomial Logit - Proportional odds model - Generalized Logit At: http://ekonometrics.blogspot.com/2011/04/speeding-tickets-for-r-and-stata.html The benchmark used (as mentioned in the comment to the post) isn't the best one. Still, since the differences are in the magnitude of x6-x20 (in favor of stata), I thought it might be of interest to someone on the list to check if there is some substantial speed improvement that might be possible.
