[R] Using 'contour' to compare concentration profiles on the same plot
Hello, Using the data and code below I've been using R to compare output from two different solute transport codes, the red contours are from verified code while the blue contours come from some modified code I've been working on. The goal is for the contours to match, and although there is currently a slight discrepancy this would be expected. The plot shows a pulse of infiltrating water with an arbitrary concentration moving downward. I'm curious if there is a clever way to plot the labels so that they don't interfere with one another? Getting even more fancy, I'm also wondering if spaces can be created and left empty in one set of contours (blue) to account for values from the other contours (say red) ? In other words, labels from the blue (or red) contours won't be drawn over the red's (or blue's) contour line.
