R help - Mar 2010 - Error in png concerning 'type = "cairo"'

Dear R-users,
though i have successfully installed Cairo_1.4-5 package on
my Ubuntu machine,
i become the following error message:
Error in png(plot_name, width = 1600, height = 1200) :
  'type = "cairo"' requires cairo >= 1.2 : try 'type
"cairo1"'
By using 
png(plot_name, width = 1600, height = 1200,type = "cairo1")
i become 
Warning message:
In png(plot_name, width = 1600, height = 1200, type "cairo1") :
  type = "cairo1" is deprecated
