You might try the web site of the Bureau of Justice Statistccs, part of the U.S. Department of Justice. Their web site is http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/welcome.html. By the way, http://www.fedstats.gov is a good starting place for all sorts of statistics collected by the feds...
