Hi, I'm running R 1.1.0 for Windows NT on a Dell Latitude laptop with 128 MB of RAM. In the previous version of R (1010) there was the ctest library and a few other functions to do a variety of chi-square tests in R. Have those been deleted in the current version (1.1), or do they just go by a different name in a different library? I originally downloaded (R 1.1) from Prof. Ripley's webpage where the ctest library is in the directory being for the old releases. Searching the on-line manual at stat.ethz.ch/R-alpha lists the function chisq.test in the ctest library, but checking the scripts, it is not in there. Any advice would be appreciated. I think rw1010 (~ R-1.1.0) is the latest release of R. That one you downloaded from Prof Ripley's webpage might be a pre-release, I suppose. If it is, you should download the official release from CRAN. And what kind of scripts did you check? The following works perfectly: libary(ctest) chisq.test(...) Okay, some more info. Downloading the ctest library from the CMU Stat Lib mirror site produces this error when its run:> library(ctest)Error in dyn.load(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now)) : unable to load shared library "C:\R\rw1010/library/ctest/libs/ctest.dll": Error in library(ctest) : .First.lib failed Yes, the ctest.dll exists in its proper place. As far as the scripts go, opening the ctest file in the R folder in the ctest library, there isn't a chisq.test script. Next checking www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/R and its appropriate sub-directories, there isn't a library ctest. (Between this and the fact its not in Prof. Ripley's download page, makes me think its been superseded or something). So, any other suggestions are welcome.
