Dear R users I have a question which is only partly related to R, but I'm sending it to this list in the hope that someone with a better statistical background than mine will be kind enough to help me. It concerns multiple comparison testing in ANOVA. I know this subject has been raised before on this list, and I have looked through the relevant messages and read the article in Biometrics by S. Paul Wright suggested by Thomas Lumley, as well as some other literature. However, I am still stuck as to how to actually implement one of these tests in R. As I am neither a statistician nor a programmer, the idea of coding my own test seems like a really remote possibility. Thomas Lumley did post some code for 3 post hoc tests (Bonferroni, Holm and Hochberg) a while ago (see below), but I am still battling to work out how I would actually use one of these on my data. Is there anyone who would be prepared to guide me through the process? Please?
