[Puppet Users] how to deal with xml files within Puppet ?
hi there, I have to create a new server.xml which should be build from at least 3 or 4 another xml files. How could to copy and paste with puppet methods ? Based on your description, a simple concatenating module should solve the problem. OT - but that''s a little excessive.
You should condense that to
cat 1.xml 2.xml 3.xml >my_file.xml
or even cat {1,2,3}.xml >my_file.xml

concat {$my_log:
owner => tomcat,
group => tomcat,
mode => ''0644'',
}
concat::fragment{"first_file.xml":
target => $my_log:
order => 01,
}
concat::fragment{"second_file.xml":
target => $my_log:
order => 02,
}
As far as I understood docus, I guess I should work.What do you think ?
