[Icecast] Icecast 2 on ubuntu 14 - service will not start using /etc/init.d
whomever posted I can quite follow, either Jeff or Jose, this /etc/init.d/icecast2 is actually included in the startup ? Check with ls /etc/rc* | grep icecast2 I am working on ubuntu and we don't have an /etc/rc. we have /etc/init.d and there is an /etc/init.d/icecast2 file there. Interesting, I manually started the icecast2 and I shut it down using the /etc/init.d/icecast2 stop. On 2015-08-25 10:51, Jos? [Icecast] Icecast 2 on ubuntu 14 - service will not start using /etc/init.d
I am not sure what I other than start the service manually, stopped it using the /etc/init.d/icecast2 stop. Then, I checked to see if it was still 'active and running' and it wasn't. I ran /etc/init.d/icecast2 start and it started. Thanks for the pointers.
