I felt like some excitement today[0], and so I ported[1] Andrew's
patch for 2.4.10 to 2.4.12 and gave it a try. Everything is solid so
far; I did a copy of each of two large kernel trees I have lying
around and diffed them, followed by an rm -rf of the copies.
Everything stayed smooth and stable.
Great work, folks. Here's to a merge with mainline!
Regards,
Sean.
[0] It's been a slow week.
[1] For this read: "tried to match rejects to pieces of code". I
don't
know anything about the ext3 code, but that's okay: I don't know
anything about the Linux code, either.
