I just did a search, and only found used systems, never new, and they were all "refurbed", starting at $1500, and going up to $22k... and still refurbed. If any one is interested, I have a brand new AS400 sitting upstairs in my computer room, it was a bought as surplus item, never used. I just hung onto it. Those were the kinds of prices I was vaguely remembering.
