Restructuring data
Hi folks, I am new to the list and relatively new to R. I am trying to unstack data "arraywise" and could not find a convenient solution yet. I tried to find a solution for the problem on help archives. I also tried to use the reshape command in R and the reshape package but could not get result. I will illustrate the case below, but the real dataset is quite large so that I would

accessing members from a data frame
I have a data frame with the following columns: Date Price Buy Sell The Buy and Sell variables are binary. They are either zero or 1. Additionally, they are mutually exclusive. Either Buy is 1, Sell is 1 or they are both 0. But they are never both 1 for a given observation. I want to see observations for either either Buy == 1 or Sell ==1 (but not the ones where Buy == 0 and Sell ==0). How can

Aggragating subsets of data in larger vector with sapply
Have 40,000 rows of buy/sell trade data and am trying to add up the buys for each second, the code works but it is very slow. Any suggestions how to improve the sapply function ? secEP = endpoints(xSym$Direction, "secs") # vector of last second on an XTS timeseries object with multiple entries for each second. d = xSym$Direction s = xSym$Size buySize = sapply(1:(length(secEP)-1),

Dell server for asterisk question!
I am planning to buy Dell 2650 server with dual Xeon processors. And I would like to buy two TE410P cards for PCI with 3,3v. This is on Dell site about PCI slots for Dell 2650 server: 3 PCI-X (1x64-bit/133MHz, and 2x64-bit/100MHz) Does that mean I will be able to buy two TE410P cards ? Or I need to buy two TE405P cards ? Thanks for help. bartek

the problem of buying and selling
...100 [33,] 62.5750 9 61.775 133 [34,] 62.6000 394 61.750 7723 It suggests that if you buys up the whole market, the last a few hands of deals are perhaps not profiting at all - they are losing money - since the price you buy may be higher than the price you sell - consider for example buying at 62.6000 and selling at 61.750. This can be verified.? So what is the right approach? I don't know. I exhused my brain. Perhaps you can shed some lights. And in case you wonder why I do the calculation in R: that's because I am studying hundreds of markets, having calculation in one p...

Bulk Buys/Group Buys
Hey folks, Anyone know of companies selling bulk SIP adaptors (phones, adaptors, etc.) or has the list ever considered doing something like a bulk buy? I was just curious...I'm looking to get another 5-6 Grandstreams or similar and I figured I'd ask the list. If we found something that lots of people wanted, it probably couldn't hurt to contact a company and ask for bulk deals.

What ATA should I buy?
I have running * without any Digium (or any other) hardware. Now I need to connect analog FAX machine to it. I think that cheapest and easiest way is to buy ATA. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Now, which ATA should I buy? Local dealer sells those four. I can buy something else (if there is any reason for it), but I prefer something of this. One more question, can I plug two lines in any of

Can be done trough R, writte in excel and trough API sell/buy to the broker? Can someone send me an example (easy example?) Many thanks. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

[NEWBIE] Right dect to buy to use with asterisk
Hello, I need to setup this configuration: - asterisk as IVR; - dect phones. So basically I need a "standard set" of features: - each dect phone has its extension so I can call it directly; - handover of a call with "R" key; - if a call is not replied by someone ring all phones. I have little budget. I can choose to buy a fritz!box or a gigasect dect/ip base station. Which

7110 questions
Hi all, (down to the wire here on EDU grant pricing :) i''m looking at buying a pair of 7110''s in the EDU grant sale. The price is sure right. I''d use them in a mirrored, cold-failover config. I''d primarily be using them to serve a vmware cluster; the current config is two standalone ESX servers with local storage, 450G of SAS RAID10 each. the 7...

High Port Count ATA
I'm trying to find a high port count ATA device. We have a lot (up to 110) analog devices that we need to bridge to IP. Rather than go out and buy 110 ATA's, it would make more sense to buy a single chassis type device with some number of ports and blades. Anyone know if such a device exists? Thanks, Doug. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
