CentOS - Feb 2011 - hotplug in centos 5

Hi,

I've a specific need for hotplug but found Centos doesn't ship it with  
the kernal and that such tasks are handled by HAL.

Any one have ideas on how to get hotplug functioning in Centos 5.5?
