[asterisk-users] AEX800 (TDM800 Express) - not detected
I have a AEX800 PCI Express card - sort of a TDM800 with PCI-Express. (or AEX844 - 4FXS & 4FXO) I downloaded Asterisk Now - and have got this loaded on a new motherboard (Intel with 3 PCI, 3 PCI Express - etc). (Downside on PCI-Express is the physical support the express slot gives (very little) compared with an 'old' standard PCI slot!!!) With only this card in the box.... "Asterisknow" gives me... "no functional digium card found in /proc/zaptel" - or words to that effect. lspci gives me: 07:08.0 Ethernet controller: Digium, Inc.: Unknown device 8002 (rev 11) # lsmod Module Size Used by ... ztdummy 5320 0 wctdm 36032 0 wctdm24xxp 84672 0 zaptel 190184 6 zttranscode,ztdummy,wctdm,wctdm24xxp crc_ccitt 3328 1 zaptel ... -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 119920 Jun 12 01:26 /lib/modules/2.6.19.7-0.4.smp.gcc3.4.x86_64/misc/wctdm24xxp.ko # uname -a Linux astnow.posix.co.za 2.6.19.7-0.4.smp.gcc3.4.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue May 1 12:07:53 EDT 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux OK - so this is a Dual Core CPU, running in 64bit mode :-) ..but is this card not supported in the OS that Digium release in their ISO image? Also - the e1000 is not detected, so we added an old e100 card -and- neither is the Marvel IDE controller - attached to the ICH9 SATA disk controller - which makes installation fun (we used a USB Flash stick with the ISO image). The Motherboard is an Intel Dragon-tail Peak (P35 chip set) - too bleeding edge??? Help? However, if you go to the rPath website and follow the links to the AsteriskNOW project, you can download an ISO image of 'beta 6.5', which includes updated components and likely will recognize your AEX800 card. -- Kevin P.
