Does anyone have any simple documentation on converting a 7940 to SIP and making it function with *? I have been beating my head on a wall on this and have gone no where. Thanks Mike
You have to use tftp to do this, use www.voip-info.org it should have everything you need. Here is a good Cisco link on upgrades. Note, in the past if the firmware was too old, I needed to do a two step upgrade, even though this shows that can go to the latest directly. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4967/products_upgrade_guide s09186a008022a968.html

On should watch the system log on the tftp server while doing this. It may require starting tftpd with a -v or similar. The error messages will be very instructive. --On Wednesday, December 01, 2004 4:12 PM +0000 "K. C.
