Cisco 7.2 firmware for SIP 7940/7960 release d
...post, and rushed to their ftp-server and downloaded it :-) But, I can't make my phone (7940) upgrade, so maybe you can give me a hint. I added the files to my tftpd folder, changed the version-number in the file OS79XX.TXT - from P003-07-1-00 to P003-07-2-00 In my SIPDefault.cnf i changed the image_version from P0S3-07-1-00 to image_version: P0S3-07-2-00 Then I reboot it, and it loads the SIP<MAC address>.cnf - and reboots - and this goes on forever, or until i change the image_version number back to P0S3-07-1-00. What am i doing wrong - I just can't figure it out. Best regards Michael...

No new features - all bug fixes according to the release notes. I've already started using it. I thought those of you running the Cisco phones and the appropriate access who didn't yet know would like to

Cisco 7940 [SIP], DTMF and Voicemail
Hi everyone, I'd say this question has come up and been answered before but I haven't been able to find it. I have a Cisco 7940 that I've upgraded to SIP firmware (currently P0S-3-06-3-00 - for some reason there was a failure when trying to upgrade to V7 so I left it at V6). The problem I'm having is that when I connect to voicemail the DTMF key presses dont seem to work

Upgrade cisco SIP phone 7940
Hi All, My current 7940 phones use P0S3-06-3-00. I'd like to upgrade them so they're not massively out of date. I found a page at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+phone+cisco+79xx that gives some info, and using the cisco links there have tried to upgrade. According to the procedures, I should be able to upgrade, but once the phones loaded and reboots it says it downgrades

Cisco 7940 -60 firmware upgrades
This for the archives in case it may help someone: I was able to upgrade two Cisco 7940's from firmware P0030301MFG2 to SIP 7.1 as follows: 1. Installed 7.1 images from the Cisco zip file to the TFTP server. 2. Specified "image_version: P0S3-07-1-00" in SIP<MAC>.cnf and SIPDefault.cnf 3. For the older of the two phones, renamed P003-07-1-00.bin to P0S3-07-.bin, making it an 8.3 filename as expected by the version 3 firmware. For the later (apparently new enough to handle long filenames), renamed it to P0S3-07-1-00.bi...
