[Asterisk-Users] chan_sccp2 & 7960 -- documentation and example request.
Can someone provide example configuration files and/or instructions for configuring Asterisk to work with chan_sccp2 and a 7960. I have the searched the chan_sccp2 site, the voip_info wiki site, asterisk doc project, and mailing list archives for the past year for help, but failed to find anything helpful. Some of the questions I have are: 1. What settings need to be made on the phone? 2. What configuration files are required? 3. What is the syntax/format of the configuration files? 4. What is the syntax for Dial() when using sccp2? I have no experience with skinny/sccp as I have been using SIP and IAX2. I would like to try to take advantage of the extended featureset of the 7960s in SCCP mode. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! Robert Lawrence

[Asterisk-Users] chan_sccp2 & 7960 -- documentation and examplerequest.
I'm in the process of doing this over the next few days. I'm currently running Asterisk and about 25 Grandstreams but the receptionist has just gone and bought a Cisco 7960 with a 7914 operators console and so I thought I'd have a crack at running it using chan_sccp2 and hoping that 7914 support will be improving shortly. Had a quick look at it tonight and there is a heap of information in the wiki (www.voip-info.org). Will let you know how it goes. ditto... a step-by-step log of what you did and what settings you made would be of immense help. and putting in on the wiki would be a great idea. tim -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Paterson, Mark Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 23:02 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] chan_sccp2 & 7960 -- documentation andexample request.
