I have a done google seaches on convertion and so far they all failed. Rich adamson and wheely-bin.co.uk Here is what I have Laptop running solarwinds tftp with the following files OS79XX.txt <- POS30201 SIP<phonemac>.cnf.xml RINGLIST.DAT <-Ringer1.pcm Ringer1.pcm The phone (7940) is hardcoded to the TFTP ip of the laptop and has a hardcoded ip is was on firmware version: P00305000400 Boot load ID:PC0303010001 Version 5.0(4.0) When the phone boots it downloads OS79XX just fine then it trys to download SEP<mac address>.cnd.xml which is not there. So I changed SIP<mac> to read SEP<mac> ok it now loads the SEP<mac> file and stops and reload everything over and over. I never had a upgrade of the phone load nor any errors it just stuck in a loop. This is on a closed net with no Sip server but I did also add a sip server and had the same problem. I also went to load sip 5.3 thinking is a sign problem but still no go same problem. What am I missing
Yes this can happen on phones with older firmware (in my experience). Cisco has a few references to problems with the filenames being longer then eight(?) characters, although making them shorter did not help me. What I have done is flashed the phone with a newer skinny image (regular cisco image) first, then flashed it with the sip image. OK I just tried that with the pos030201 load still no go Should I try going up on the MGCP then down to pos30201 and work my way up? -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of John Fraizer Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 3:29 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] 79XX converting lists wrote:> I have a done google seaches on convertion and so far they all failed. > > Rich adamson and wheely-bin.co.uk > > > Here is what I have > Laptop running solarwinds tftp with the following files > > OS79XX.txt <- POS30201 > SIP<phonemac>.cnf.xmlThat should be SIP<mac>.cnf John _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
You also need a SIPDefault.cnf Simon A prose style is a metaphysics. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of lists Sent: Wednesday, 26 May 2004 9:26 To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] 79XX converting Humm that SCCP to start sorry I went up to a signed load on the sccp NP using my CCM's but I can't get the phone to load a SIP load. I am currently trying 7.1 as per cisco's paper http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4967/products_upgrade_guide s09186a008022a968.html#wp1048832 Still no go now I get a CTLSEP error on my solarwinds TFTP app. I read up on this some at cisco but it claims I just need OS79XX.txt <-P00307100 (sip 7.1) and the SIP<MAC> but still no go. I did even CP the name from the load to the OS79XX.txt so I don't have a "0"ZERO to "O"'OHHH' problem. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of lists Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 4:38 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] 79XX converting OK I just tried that with the pos030201 load still no go Should I try going up on the MGCP then down to pos30201 and work my way up? -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of John Fraizer Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 3:29 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] 79XX converting lists wrote:> I have a done google seaches on convertion and so far they all failed. > > Rich adamson and wheely-bin.co.uk > > > Here is what I have > Laptop running solarwinds tftp with the following files > > OS79XX.txt <- POS30201 > SIP<phonemac>.cnf.xmlThat should be SIP<mac>.cnf John _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
