   I wonder how you searched for a function.  For example, when I do the 
following:

RSiteSearch("levene", restrict="function")

   levene.test() functions in the car and lawstat packages are the first 
two hits.

and, as alternatives, results 1 and 2 of:

First you should download the car package from the r project website.  Than
load it by typing library(car).  The actual code for levene's test is
levene.test (y, group)
