[R] Is it possible to modify the position of the graphic window ?
Dear R users, is there a way to tell R where to draw the windows where the plots are drawn ? I always get that window on the right of my screen, where it interferes with my Xemacs + ESS window where I'm writing lines. Of course I can move it manually, but I would like to have it permanently on the right, rather than on the left. Thanks for any advice Ottorino Ubuntu 7.10 Xemacs 21.4 patch 20 ESS version 5.3.4 R version 2.5.1 (2007-06-27)

In the Windows the file Rconsole contains the position(x,y) of the graphics. I don't know if file have the same name in Ubuntu. I would like to improve my knowledge on the matter, but I cannot find url in your posts. Did I miss something ? Or you mean that you have added the url in the help page ? Thanks 8rino Prof Brian Ripley ha scritto:> > I added an example (and a reference url) to ?X11 yesterday, since it > seems knowledge of X11 resources is scarcer than it used to be.
Apparently Analagous Threads
- substituting dots in the names of the columns (sub, gsub, regexpr)
- on trellis.par.set/get (reproducing figures from Pinheiro & Bates)
- insert a text in panels, always in the same position (lattice, ltext, ?prepanel?)
- I: differences between R and S (reproducing a plot from a book )
- Which Linux OS on Athlon amd64, to comfortably run R?
