R help - Jun 2007 - Meaning of locfit warnings "procv: parameters out of bounds"?

I'm getting the following warning from locfit:

    Warning: procv: parameters out of bounds

Does anyone know what this means? (I haven't found anything about it in 
the locfit documentation or the list's archives).
