R help - Jan 2001 - built in colors

Hello R Users,

Using: Windows 2000, R version 1.2.0

In the installed directory "etc" there is a file named rgb.txt
containing
definitions of [all?] the built in colors. I tried to edit this file to add
a color as well as change an existing color. My efforts have had no effect.
Is this the expected behavior? Is it possible to change or add to the
built-in colors?

Yes, by re-compiling. The file to be altered is
src/gnuwin32/graphapp/rgb.c.

You can use RGB specifications, just not other names. See ?colors.
