Is it real now to boot Windows XP Professional SP2 as guest OS on xen under Solaris Express? Community Edition (b62) or Developer Edition (b55)? Thanks. This message posted from opensolaris.org
Unfortunately not yet, the project to get Solaris working on Xen is due to complete and integrate fairly soon. Please also be aware that to get Windows as a domU you''ll need it to be fully virtualised so you''ll need fairly up to date hardware, AMD-V or intel VT capable chips are required Hope that helps Chris Glavchev Dmitry wrote:> Is it real now to boot Windows XP Professional SP2 as guest OS on xen under Solaris Express? The M2''s should all have rev F processors. I just checked the AMD website http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_8826_14266,00.html and the model number indicates it is and AM2 socket processor which makes it have the AMD-V extensions Chris> > Thanks, > > Jerry > > >> Hope that helps >> >> Chris >>
